Hands United for Our World

This vibrant crayon drawing symbolizes unity, care, and the shared responsibility of protecting our planet. At the center, four hands of different skin tones gently cradle the Earth, representing people from diverse backgrounds coming together with compassion and cooperation. The intertwined hands create a circle of support, emphasizing that the future of our world depends on collective kindness and teamwork.
The rainbow-colored background conveys hope, diversity, peace, and joy, while adding warmth and energy to the composition. Surrounding the Earth are symbolic circular designs that resemble ancient stones, celestial bodies, or cultural emblems, inviting viewers to reflect on the many traditions, beliefs, and natural forces that connect humanity. A sturdy tree growing through the center of the image represents life, growth, resilience, and our deep connection to nature.
Created in crayon, the artwork features bold outlines, vivid colors, and expressive textures that enhance its imaginative quality. Yvonne’s unique perspective shines through in the thoughtful placement of symbols and the harmonious balance of color and form, creating a powerful visual message about inclusion, environmental stewardship, and hope for the future.
This piece reminds us that although we come from different cultures and experiences, we all share one home, and by working together, we can help it thrive.
